Church of the Living God's 8th Annual Back to School Bash was totally uplifting this year! Had a rocky start getting things ready, but of course God showed up and showed out! God blessed us to be able to obtain everything that we needed for the children to return to school. A huge, gigantic Thank you to everyone that helped us to do that, either by contributing money, actual supplies, or by helping us assemble the backpacks, or in passing them out, haircuts, or food distribution. Whatever you did to help ease the burden of these families, God will truly bless you abundantly, and we truly thank you.

Truly want to thank all of you Teachers, Food providers and staff who made our VBS a complete success! The Youth brought it on home today by taking over the whole front part of the service, passing out programs, singing on Praise team, doing Testimony Service, and Jr Deacons taking up the offering. They just topped their part off with Kierra Clark Sheard's "Hang On". Believe me when I say they were so awesome! We are so proud of them! And then Bro Madlock delivered an uncompromising Word of God, and we all prayed over them, and then my two youngest Grandbabies got Baptized! I'm done! I'm taking my seat. Wanted to thank the Brotherhood for the wonderful meal they provided to all the Sisters today! You all outdid yourselves! It was perfect from beginning to end, a meal fit for a queen!!! Thank you for the time you invested all weekend to make our day!!! May God Bless each one of you!!!!

Announcement: We will be having a Watch Night Prayer Service tonight, December 31st from 10 p.m.- 12 a.m. Everyone is invited to come and pray in the New year with us, for if there ever was a time we need to find ourselves on our knees before God, it is now. We will also be serving Communion, and Baptizing some people into the Kingdom on Sunday the 1st. God Bless you and we hope to see you there. Jesus is Lord!

Praying for some families this morning. Two funerals about to happen simultaneously. 2016 has been rough, and we dont know what 2017 has in store, but we do thankfully, know the One who does know. Lets build up our prayer lives, make some dedications. More prayer, more reading the word, more fasting. The closer we are to God, the better off we and those connected to us will be. The more we'll be able to be a light, be a help, and be the person that God created us to be. This world needs so much help, and we cant do everything but, we can put ourselves in position to light up our little corner of the world.

Had a great Women of Prayer Meeting today. Began our War Room Bible Study. I Think its going to be really good. Today we evaluated where we are in God Cold Lukewarm or Hot and what we can do to change it if you dont like where your at. Thank you Sisters for the great turnout and may God Bless our efforts!

Fields of Faith of was beyond awesome Wednesday night! 688 young people gave their lives to God! 93 Rededications! It was indescibeable joy to see all those souls hungering and thirsting for God, searching after Him. We definetly need a revival in this city to anchor these young people in God. We are praying and looking for a miracle, and believing God to move. Love it!

Reminder that we will be not having regular service tomorrow night as we will be ministering at the annual Fields of Faith event at Gordon Wood Stadium at 7:00. We participate in this wonderful soul winning event each year and we are looking forward to see all what Gods going to do, and see all the souls being ushered into the kingdom. Hope to see you there!

Bro Andre Walker will be ministering in the morning. We will not be having our 9:30 a.m. class.

First of all we want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and prayers and food! My goodness such an abundance! We are feeling the strength of the prayers and they are enabling us to keep moving forward and take care of everything we need to do. We can feel the love radiating to us at this trying time. There will be service as usual tonight with Pastor continuing on where he left off! There will not be choir practice however.

Yesterday we had a wonderful time at our 7th Annual Back to School Bash! It was such a blessing! I thank God that we were able to help meet the needs of the parents who have children going back to school! We sincerely thank the people who gave and allowed us to to extend the hands of Jesus to the community. May God richly bless and reward you!

The Church just returned from the Youth Explosion in Cuero Texas and my we had a marvelous time. Thankful to God for His mercy and protection getting us up and down these hiways and for allowing us to be a a part if such a mighty move of God. We can't wait to go back next year and receive more from the Lord!

This morning, we have to speak. A few miles up the road there is pure panic and chaos in the streets. We ministered Wednesday on how we need a revival in this land, and God only knows how bad this is true. We were sadened to hear of the Senseless murders in Baton Rouge and Miineapolis, and now we have to add Dallas to that list. The thing that is so hurtful in the midst of it all is the innocence of the murdered. Lives violently taken from this earth. Yesterday it became as D.L Hugely put it as "too much". And now today, we have to add more sorrow on top of it. All I know to do, at this moment in time, is too pray for peace, strength and comfort. The bible says in Luke 21:26 "men's hearts failing them for fear and looking after those things which are coming upon the earth, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken." Father I pray right now, in the name of Jesus, that you bless us and keep us in your mighty and powerful hands. Protect our minds, our spirits, our bodies, with your blood that was shed for us on Calvery, I just apply it right now to every heart that is reaching out to you, searching for peace and consolation. It is, in fact, too much, but your word asks us in 1 Peter 5:7 to lay all our cares upon you, for you careth for us, and so we ask you to help us with all this. Bless and strengthen and comfort the families with murdered loved ones, and all of us also who are watching in horror, as this tragically unfolds before us. We're trusting in you Lord to take us through the midst of these tribulations, in Jesus name, Amen. Love to all.
